About Long Day Care

We are have a Long Day Care Service attached to out Kindergarten. This Long Day Care Service runs alongside our Kindy sessions. It also offers an after school hours care, and vacation program. Our Long Day Care Program is designed to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care while parents are at work or engaged in daily activities. We understand that each child is unique, and our program is tailored to meet their individual needs.

Qualified Staff: Our team consists of experienced and passionate educators who are dedicated to fostering each child’s development and well-being. They are trained in Early Childhood Education and committed to creating a safe, engaging environment.
Hours: We offer extended hours to accommodate various work schedules, providing convenience for families. Our program operates, 5 days a week from 8am – 6pm. Families have the flexibility to drop off and pick up their child/children at any time during the session.
Curriculum and Activities: We follow the Early Years Learning Framework of Being, Becoming, Belonging. We plan and program for activities and experiences which allow children to learn through play.
Social and Emotional Development: Our program emphasises social skills, emotional regulation, and positive interactions. Children learn to express themselves, cooperate with peers, and build lasting friendships in a supportive atmosphere.
Parent Engagement: We believe that strong communication with families is essential. Regular updates, newsletters, and communication books keep parents informed about their child’s progress and program activities.
Safety and Hygiene: We prioritise the health and safety of all children. Our facilities adhere to strict hygiene protocols, and our staff is trained in first aid and emergency procedures.

Enrolment Information

We welcome children to attend our Long Day Care Service from Birth- 5. We also offer an After School Care program as part of our Long Day Care, as well as offering vacation care during the school holidays. We offer various enrollment options to suit your family’s needs. Priority of access

The education department has a priority of access policy to decide who can get into Long Day Care. As a site we are licensed as a 62-place centre. The number of Long Day Care places available is dependent on the Kindy enrollments. This might mean that some families get more sessions than others.

What to bring

a named backpack to fit all belongings;
a named water bottle that we can refill, water only;
a named lunch box with enough food to fuel your child for the day. This would include a healthy snack and lunch;
several named changes of clothes with extra weather appropriate clothing;
Nappies, clearly named.

What we supply

Hamilton Sunscreen. If your child is sensitive to sunscreen please supply your own;
A broadbrimmed hat.

Session times

We are open Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm (except for public holidays). We have a centre closure over the Christmas period.

Cost

Full Day Care $104.00
Vacation Care: $104.00
After School Care: $41.00
After Kindy Care: $35.00
Before Kindy Care: $12.00
Casual Bookings $110.50 (plus an additional $6.50 admin fee).

These fees are eligible for Child Care Subsidy (CCS). This is means tested and to calculate or estimate your daily fee you will need to contact Centrelink or access the CCS calculator on the Centrelink website.
